| After installing Ergo Romanian and rebooting your machine, the
taskbar's language icon already contains ER1 and ER2 (if you can't see the taskbar's language icon, go to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306993&sd=tech
for specific OS settings instructions). |
| |
| 1. Open Notepad |
| (Just to choose an application, so that you can practice
keyboard layouts on it.) |
| |
2. How to select a Romanian
keyboard layout:
 |
| Click the language indicator, and select Romanian. If ER1
is the only Romanian layout installed, you won't see the small keyboard icon
next to the language indicator RO. In this case, you can ignore step 3 - ER1 is now active.
With Ergo Romanian 2.0, both ER1 and ER2 are installed by default, so read
step 3 too. |
3. How to select ER1 or ER2 when multiple
Romanian layouts are installed:
 |
| You might have other Romanian layouts activated, like the
Microsoft layout that comes with Windows. In this case the keyboard icon you
see in the picture above (next to RO) will show up. Just click it and select
Romanian ER1 or Romanian ER2. Now type in Notepad: Ergo Romanian is active. |
